List of Duties
1.
Set tentative meeting schedule at the 1st meeting
(September - after conference) for the year.
2.
Appoint a Secretary and Treasurer.
3.
Communicate with Secretary regarding agenda items
for each meeting.
4.
Set up meeting space and lodging at the different
sites, including meals (if appropriate) for Board
members.
5.
Attend Idaho Juvenile Justice Commission meetings
as often as possible (meetings are quarterly), with
President-Elect also in attendance.
6.
Coordinate with E-Board to submit a letter to Idaho
Juvenile Justice Commission in January/February requesting
scholarship funding for the upcoming conference (include
dollar amount of request).
7.
Submit official final letter of request to Idaho Juvenile
Justice Commission requesting the monies designated
by the Commission for scholarships (may or may not
match the request).
8.
Report (with Treasurer) to Idaho Juvenile Justice
Commission in October (after conference) with list
of scholarship recipients and account of Commission
monies.
9.
Communicate with ICA President throughout the year
regarding agendas, meeting reservations and menus,
etc., especially in August and September.
10.
Conference: decide roles of the current Presidents,
i.e., who will speak at the opening and closing.
11.
Address issues/concerns of Board or Membership at
each meeting, or as they arise.
12.
Ensure that Representatives and Board Members understand,
and are fulfilling, their tasks as representatives
and on their respective committees.
13.
Direct meetings (and co-direct joint meetings with
ICA President) to facilitate communication and progress
of the Idaho Juvenile Justice Association in their
goals.
14.
Review and facilitate changes to Rules and By-Laws
of the Association, as necessary.
