2011 AWARDS

They deserve an Emmy; however, the IJJA Awards are a great way to acknowledge and honor those special people we work with each day with a nomination
for DISTRICT LINE WORKER or DISTRICT
ADMINISTRATOR of the year!

2011 IJJA Award Nominations
Due by July 30, 2011 (tentative)

Please consider nominating one of your employees or co-workers. The outlines for either of these awards are listed below:

District Line Worker of the Year

This award is given to an individual in direct service/entry/line level position. The nominee must be an active member of IJJA to be eligible. Please include in the nomination letter the following information:

- Name, Title, and the organization where they work
- District in which nominee works
- Statement of your reasons for believing the nominee exemplifies the best practice of line workers in the District and why they should receive the award.

District Administrator of the Year

The nominee must be in a supervisory or administrative position plus be an active member of IJJA to be eligible for this award. Please include in the nomination letter the following information.

- Name, Title, and the organization where they work
- District in which nominee works
- Statement in support of how the individual demonstrated dedication and commitment to the field, acknowledgments in the past year, contributions to the field or innovative approaches to meet either juveniles or the juvenile justice needs and concerns.

John Shuler Award

This very special award is given to an individual who directly impacts youth and is viewed by others as exuding excellence in service delivery to children and their families. The recipient does not have to be a member of IJJA. In your nomination letter, please include the following:

- Name, Title, and Organization of nominee:
- District in which nominee works
- How the individual demonstrated experience in the field of
juvenile justice/social work.
- How the individual is committed to children and families
- How the individual actually impacted the juvenile justice field


Nominations must be received by July 30, 2011. Please send your nomination letters to:
